Leaf Ray was in Colorado Springs this past weekend for another PIHA weekend.
Des Moines Leaf Ray (PIHA Semi-Pro) had another rough weekend. Saturday had some close games but couldn't mange to pull any of them out. Even had an OTL. Sunday started off right with a 7-3 win over the Black Forest Thunder. The team then started game 2 as they started down 0-3 early into the game. The team rallied back taking the game to OT before losing 4-5. Fished the weekend with a 1-3-2 record. They are currently sitting 3rd in the Rocky Mountain North division.
Lambs Grove Leaf Ray (PIHA Minors) has continued to exceed expectation this season. The team started on Saturday with splitting with the Denver Stallions and the Marvin Tugboats. Sunday was going to be a tough one against the Manitou Vikings. Leaf Ray came out fighting and managed to pull out a sweep. This moved the team up to 1st in the Rocky Mountain East division and 3rd in the Western Conference.
Both teams are headed to the playoffs on 03/07-03/09 in Colorado Springs.
