Labeda Leaf Ray - 2026 season review

Labeda Leaf Ray managed to fit two tournaments into its summer schedule. The team was assembled on short notice, and several players had never played together before.

The first tournament took place over Memorial Day weekend in Omaha, Nebraska. After dropping its opening game, the team responded with an impressive run, winning four consecutive games to finish the weekend with a 4-1 record and capture the gold medal.

The team then traveled to Kansas City in July and got off to another strong start, posting two wins and one loss during round-robin play. They ultimately fell in overtime in the playoff round, earning a bronze medal finish.

Throughout the summer, the team continued to develop chemistry and build momentum. With the growth and talent displayed during both tournaments, it would not be surprising to see several of these players joining a PIHA roster in the near future.
