Des Moines Leaf Ray PIHA Playoff Results

Des Moines Leaf Ray battled hard but fell just short in the Playoffs.

The team came into the weekend as the 3rd seed with a 8-9-3 record.

First series up was against the 2nd seed Littleton Fire. The first game was close as Leaf Ray scored with just 37 seconds left in the game to take it to overtime. Brendan Uher came up big with the overtime winner. The 2nd game clinched the series as Leaf Ray dominated the whole game with a final score of 7-2.

The next series was against the #1 Mile High Blizzard. Leaf Ray swept the Blizzard earlier in the season but since then their Pro team folded and moved their players down to the Semi-Pro division. The short 6 man bench was not kind to Leaf Ray as the Blizzard came fast and hard taking both games and ending Leaf Ray's season.

With that Leaf Ray finished the season as the Rocky Mountain Division Runner-Ups.
