Tier 4 MIHA Ft Wayne Tournament Results

Leaf Ray was in Fort Wayne last weekend (04/02-04/03).
Round Robin Saturday: Leaf Ray started the weekend out strong in a big win over Indy Inline Club with Ferguson, Gunnerson, Zimmerman, Merigold, Fowler, and Barker all getting goals in the 8-3 win. The next game was much tougher playing the Grand Rapid Brewsaders from the division above. Whiting and Ferguson with the only goals but Barker, Merigold, and Zimmerman assisting. a late 3rd period goal gave Leaf Ray the 3-2 win and the 1st seed in the Sunday playoffs.
Playoff Sunday: While the team had a very impressive showing on Saturday, the short bench hurt on Sunday. Leaf Ray was held scoreless in the 0-5 loss to Detroit Revolution. We are not disappointed with our 3rd place finish out of 8 teams.
Next tournament: right now the team is not in a playoff spot and has no more scheduled games for the season. If, by a miracle, the team makes MIHA Finals, it will be in Detroit on May 21st & 22nd.
